The Future of News; Just Satirical?

The Colbert Report & The Daily show are humorous takes on news today. Today's generation is sarcastic and lives on satire added to daily life. In my opinion these shows are sending a message to the news media. They want more accountable news reports. People talk about these shows and call it fake news, when it fact it is not. The views expressed on the show are targetting merely the way news is reported and discussed. I sometimes watch the Colbert Report. I find it humorous and informing at the same time. I like it quite a bit.

Most of the time, these shows do portray some truth the news. They just add a satirical outlook on it. These stories are reliable, if you ignore the clear humor side of the stories. They may not be the whole story detailed fully like you'd see on CNN.

Honestly, I do not think that this says a whole lot about news. Even if the younger generation goes to these shows for their news, regular news stations will always be important. Of the people that I know that watch these shows, it's their second choice. It is a humorous way to look at news in which is generally depressing.

To our society, this means that we are more entertainment based in our interests. Instead of watching the same old stories on the news, we turn to a more humorous idea of news. News shown on TV is more personal. Reading about it is not personal, there is no feeling and while many news anchors portray umsyphatytic we as viewers have a more advanced understanding and comphrehension of what is going on. Just because we are now watching more entertaining news shows does not mean the end of the typical news shows we are used to as a society. As long as their are purists out there, it'll never go away.
